Ever since the newest update (3.2010.02-8.002), I cannot see my conversations.
I can see the conversation on the main conversation screen, where all my conversation are. But when I click on a single conversation...I cannot see it or any other SMS or IM in that conversation. Even conversations that I send cannot be seen on this screen. It is only when I go back to the page will all the conversation can I see what I send, but even that is lost when I receive a SMS or IM back.
I did not have this problem prior to the latest update.
It is very frustrating not being able to see the history of my conversations.
Anybody have a solution. Thanks.

Interesting!!
What version of the firmware are you running 3.2010.02?

You have previously tried removing the el.* files in that other post.. what did the conversations app look like after that? Presumably all the conversations were missing?

All the conversation are deleted after i tried the solution.
Now when I entered mkdir keep then the display said mkdir: cannot create directory 'keep': File exists.
This was after I tried the previous solution twice at it did not work the first time.

There shouldn't be any need to try that other solution again, it's amost certainly not going to fix your problem, its going to be something else strange..
It'd be interesting to know if something else is broken in that directory..
Try downloading this file on your phone:
http://chris.intrepid.cx/N900/debug2.txt
Save this file in the documents folder on your phone
Now open an xterm and run this command
sh MyDocs/.documents/debug2.sh
Note that it is case sensative!
When that finishes (it will take some time) you'll find a file called debug2.txt on your device. You can pull this off using Mass storage mode on your PC. Can you attach it as a post to this thread (or if you'd prefer) email it to me
You might want to zip it first, it could be quite large (6megs ish)

I dont remember the exact date, but it has been recent. I noticed it after the I did the last update for Maemo.
But I think it was before the 26th.

I dont remember getting a vcard from anybody. I do get random IMs via Skype, but I usually erase them, some before and some after opening.

Can you change you theme.. ideally to something 'default' like "digital nature" or "nokia nseries"
02-Mar-2010 11:36 PM
I just changed to Nseries...
02-Mar-2010 11:38 PM
is it any better now? I'm wondering if that might've fixed it
02-Mar-2010 11:39 PM
no change.
02-Mar-2010 11:44 PM
ok.. longer shot, can you run these commands
cd .rtcom-eventlogger
rm -r el* attachments/*
then reboot the phone and try again
