Every once in a while I get some banal SMS from Nokia (spam). Does anyone know where these messages come from and how to stop them from comming?

Hi,
This depends on what kind of messages you receive. If you're talking about My Nokia SMS messages (contains e.g. tips of how to use the device etc), then you can unsubscribe from those in e.g. latest S60 devices by going Menu => Help => My Nokia => unsubscribe.
And if you're receiving some weird "you've won 500 000 dollars" messages, then please check this thread: /t5/Messaging-Email-and-Browsing/NOKIA-UK-PROMOTIO

I also no longer have a Nokia but are receiving these spam-SMS messages every week. How can I stop them?
Replying to the messages with a STOP message does not work (and I believe this is how it is supposed to work).
Please help.

Hi again,
And sorry for this delay. I was on a holiday for a couple of weeks and for some strange reason I didn't check the email notification checkbox, so I didn't see that you've answered to this thread.
Anyhow, I suggest that you contact our call center as they are the official support channel and they can create a ticket for this problem.

I had been suffering from this SMS for some time. I tried to unsubscribe from mynokia profile, it didn't work. Now I found something in my phone. Under the Help, there is unsubscribe SMS option. I tried that and got a confirmation SMS. I hope that is the correct one. I am using E71.
--> Menu --> Help --> Mynokia --> unsubscribe

This indeed works. What a terribly convoluted way. What would you do if you no longer had a working Nokia phone? Be spammed forever?

I don't have a nokia anymore because they are rubbish phones these days. I am being spammed often many times a day and I have no way to stop this. this is no way to win back an old customer.... HOW DO I STOP THIS.....
